Ride the Baaa Momma

Carter is always wanting to ride the "Baaa" (sheep). Lucky for us we have two sheep. Notice however that I am on the little one. This is always the case. Whenever we ride sheep I have to ride the little one. If I try to trade him he just says "No momma, no" and gives me the little one again.

Even Cowboys Need Baths

Carter has turned into quite a little cowboy lately. Its been pretty fun to see. We were in Wal-mart the other day and we took him down the Halloween aisle. He picked up this bright purple suede hat that looked like a little pimp hat and wouldn't take it off. I was not about to buy a pimp hat so I took him down the toy aisle where I had seen little cowboy hats instead and he traded no problem. Now all he wants to wear is his cowboy hat and boots. This picture was taken the day we got his hat. He didn't even want to take it off for a bath, so we snapped a picture and let him wear it for a little while before we washed his hair.

The Joy of Weddings

We had quite a few weddings this summer. Both my brother and Devin's brother tied the knot. It's been a couple months since they got married but I thought I would put a few pictures on the blog anyway.

Not the best idea

We were in Scipio last weekend. It rained pretty much all weekend so it was quite muddy when we were packing up to leave. Carter was outside throwing rocks into this big mud puddle while Devin loaded our bags into the car and I got Carter some lunch. When I went outside to tell Carter that lunch was ready I saw that he had got on his bike. I could just see the wheels turning in his head as he looked at this mud puddle. All the sudden he starts driving through and just when he reached the middle of the puddle the front wheels on his bike get stuck in the mud and he goes right over the handle bars and face plants it in the mud. I was laughing so hard. Of course Carter was mad as can be, especially when I made him wait while Devin grabbed the camera. It was so funny....thank goodness we had a camera handy.

Ride the Bull Dadda

Carter has been so funny lately with all the things that he is starting to do. His new thing is he always wants to ride the bull. "Ride the Bull Dadda, Dadda ride the Bull." We have cable TV and Carter loves to watch the Bull Riding. The only problem is he watches a lot of cowboys fall off the Bull so sometimes he gets on Devin's back and falls right off but sometimes he holds on really well.

Kids say some funny things

I was just thinking about the funny things Carter has been saying and thought I would let you all know what is going on too. Carter has never said "Yes" to anything and about a week ago he started saying "Aye" (Like a Pirate) for yes. So it is pretty funny when he wants something and he says "Aye". It is nice though to finally have an idea what he wants. Maybe I will dress him up like a pirate for Halloween and then when people ask if he wants a treat and he says "Aye" they will think that he learned it just for Halloween.

Devin and I have been teaching Carter what sounds the animals make for quite awhile now. Not long ago Devin asked Carter what the rabbit says and in my head I think nothing, the rabbit doesn't say anything. Then of course Carter answers him with "Don't shoot, don't shoot". I laughed so hard. Of course my rabbit hunting husband would teach him that. It's so fun to watch Carter grow and learn new things. He never stops amazing and entertaining us.

New Gun in Town

I know, I am about the worst blogger ever. It's been about a month....again since I sat down in front of the computer to update anything. I just thought that I would let you know the funny things Carter is up too.
Last weekend we were up at Devin's family cabin. Carter finds a little toy shot gun that someone had left there and was carrying it around the whole time. We would go for walks around the cabin and I pointed out some butterflies, and a few different things and of course Carter holds the gun up and shots everything. He is just like Devin....shooting anything that moves.
Later Devin, his brother Paul, and brother-in-law Aaron were going in the truck to see if they could find some deer and of course they brought their guns (just in case they see a chipmunk or something), anyway Carter saw they were leaving with their guns so he grabbed his and went with the boys. I wish I would have had my camera handy but as usual I forgot it. What do you do.
